knowledge transfer in the Further Education secto
Wednesday, August 20, 2008 - a new development in the Government giving a push to knowledge transfer in the Further Education sector.

Dear Colleagues

AURIL members may be interested to note a new development in the Government giving a push to knowledge transfer in the Further Education sector.

This was already trailed in the DIUS Innovation Nation white paper earlier in the year, but now the Learning and Skills Council have put out a prospectus on this issue (NB: the language is different - they talk about "Further Education (FE) Specialisation and Innovation" but the principles are similar). > (attached on the right)

This document is publicly available on the LSC website at the following link. http://www.lsc.gov.uk/innovation There may be opportunities for some HE institutions to join forces with FE institutions in this area. At our last Council meeting it was agreed that I should try and form links with the FE sector and hopefully we will be pursuing that relationship shortly
